TimeSheet Pro
Privacy Policy · effective 28 October 2026
The short version: TimeSheet Pro does not collect your data. Everything you enter stays on your devices and in your own iCloud account. TJ Labs Ltd, the publisher and data controller, runs no server that holds your data, has no analytics, no advertising, and no way to see your information.
What the app stores
TimeSheet Pro stores the information you enter so it can do its job: jobs and job numbers, the hours you work, countries and overnight stays, mileage, notes, pay rules and rates, trips, expenses, and any payslip, booking or receipt files you choose to import.
Where it is stored
- On your device, in the app's private storage.
- In your iCloud account (Apple's CloudKit private database), so the app can keep your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac in step. This data is tied to your Apple ID and protected by Apple; the developer cannot read it. Apple's privacy policy applies to iCloud: apple.com/legal/privacy.
If you turn iCloud off for the app, your data stays on the device only.
What the developer collects
Nothing. The app contains no analytics, tracking or advertising software. The only network requests it makes are to Apple's iCloud on your behalf and the optional services listed below. If you email for support, your message is used only to answer you.
Optional features that use network services
- Country suggestion. When you start the clock or add an entry for today, the app asks the Cloudflare network in front of tjlabs.uk which country your connection is coming from, and suggests it. The reply is a two-letter country code. No account is involved, TJ Labs stores nothing, and the app never asks for location permission. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies to that request.
- Mileage by postcode. The app uses Apple Maps to turn the postcodes you type into a road distance; Apple's privacy policy applies. The web version (private testing, see below) uses the postcodes.io lookup service and the OSRM routing service for the same purpose. Only the postcodes you type are sent.
- Exchange rates. An expense entered in another currency fetches that day's rate from the Frankfurter service (European Central Bank data). Only the currency and date are sent.
- Payslip import. The app reads the file on your device with Apple's on-device text recognition. The web version reads it in your browser with an open-source recognition library loaded from the jsDelivr content network. The file itself is never uploaded.
- Travel health (web). The web version fetches public guidance pages from TravelHealthPro for the countries you choose.
Premium purchases
Premium is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple handles payment, renewals and refunds; TJ Labs never sees your card or bank details. Your purchase is checked on your device with Apple's StoreKit. Apple's privacy policy applies to the purchase.
The web version
A browser version at timesheet.tjlabs.uk exists but is in private testing by TJ Labs and is not part of the App Store product: it sits behind a Cloudflare Access sign-in that admits only the developer. The notes above marked "web version" describe it so this policy stays accurate if it opens to customers, which would be announced here with a new effective date.
Sharing and exports
CSV and PDF exports, filled timesheet workbooks and backups are created on your device and go only where you send them with the share sheet. The app shares nothing on its own.
Children
TimeSheet Pro is a work tool and is not directed at children under 13.
Your rights and deleting your data
Because TJ Labs holds no copy of your data, you exercise your rights directly: everything can be viewed, exported and deleted in the app. Delete entries, jobs or trips individually, or use More ▸ Settings ▸ Reset App to remove everything, including the copy in your iCloud account. Deleting the app removes its on-device data; iCloud data can also be removed from Settings ▸ Apple ID ▸ iCloud ▸ Manage Storage on your device. If you believe your data has been handled wrongly you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
